Abstract

The goal of diploma work is to find a suitable usage for already further not treated foundry sand from metallurgical processes. The beginning of the work is dedicated to life cycle of sand entering the production of foundry. There are in detail described bilance equations and energy cost for each step of process. Since the metallurgical processes represent environment pollution and negative consequences, the work highlights viewpoint to this part. Economic aspects investigate the Decision matrix. The second part of the work is dedicated to utilization of further not processed foundry sand, and besides usual sand disposal by transporting to rubbish dump or building a landscape walls, hollow ways, there are shown possibilities for high voltage cables as insulation and for shaft construction for cables embedding that is my proposal and in no literature has been found such kind of utilisation.
