Abstract

The Bachelor thesis “Technical and Safety Supervision over the Waterworks Pond “Nový” deals with the subject of the technical and safety supervision of small waterworks dikes, in particular of the small reservoir pond “Nový” in the cadastral territory of Klenčí pod Čerchovem. The objective of this thesis is the assessment of the inspections performed within the technical and safety supervision of the waterworks and, given the topic of this thesis, also personal participation in one of these inspections and further assessment of the waterworks in terms of its operating ability and functional reliability regarding the safety and stability of the waterworks. The initial chapters of the thesis give an overview of the current legislature and regulations in the field of technical and safety supervision, the activities of the water law authorities in terms of the safety of waterworks, the waterworks subjected to technical and safety supervision and their categorization, and further, the technical and safety supervision of the dikes of small water reservoirs. The key part of the thesis deals with the technical and safety supervision over the waterworks pond “Nový”. The identification data of this particular waterworks are presented, as well as the information regarding the management and operation, the basic data regarding the documentation of the waterworks, the description and purpose of the waterworks, its function and technical parameters. The main focus, however, was put on the inspections of the waterworks within the technical and safety supervision. These inspections are analysed, summarized and evaluated and recorded including photo documentation. In the conclusion, the results of these inspections are assessed and summarized and the final assessment of the waterworks in terms of its operability and safety is presented.
