Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis was the characterization of structural and mechanical properties of two types cordierit ceramics. Attention was focused on the phase transformation during heat treatment of ceramics and subsequent structural changes.
Thermal and mechanical properties are an important parameter in practical use cordierit ceramic. This work investigated the effect of microhardness analysis conditions depending on the porosity of selected cordierit ceramic.
