Abstract

The aim of this thesis was to describe the structure of the species community of the benthic macroinvertebrates with the aspect of the water quality in the area of Belkovicke valley. The general changes of abundance in the profile of 13 kilometres length were assessed even from the point of view of the wider territorial relationships. From the 5 stretches were taken 7 series of samples (April – October 2011) which were used for assessing 48 taxons of the benthic macroinvertebrates. From 2009 to 2011 were also carried out the inspectional measurements of the water chemistry. The abundance in the profile of the epirithral fluctuated according to the in advance expected anthropogenic factors. The watercourse is influenced mainly by the tributaries; however the good condition of the benthic macroinvertebrates depends on the presence of high amount of mayflies (Ephemeroptera) and caddisflies (Trichoptera). Significant changes of the communities became evident in the final part of the profile, which was situated below the village. The leeches (Hirudinea) and oligocheata (Oligochaeta) became the prevailing representative, which indicates the 4th qualitative class.
