Abstract

This thesis deals with the analysis of board games. We explore strategies in games, where the peg moves based on rolling a dice. The main goal of the thesis is a detailed analysis of the likelihood, that a player will stop or will not stop at particular position of the board and the determination of a strategy based on the results. To achieve these goals clear methods are described to calculate the probabilities of certain board positions and we explain the meaning of the achieved results. The thesis compares several possible strategies of specific board games and provides a foundation for a possible subsequent thesis.
