Abstract

POSTULKA M. This thesis is focused on the issues of algorithm assessment of crystallizer plates in the continuous casting of steel using knowledge-based systems. The result of the evaluation is the state of service life of the crystallizer plate from the data on individual defects incurred on the plate molds during operating mode. The thesis describes the continuous casting technology, knowledge systems, and describes a solution algorithm itself, which is demonstrated on a practical example. The expert system NTS has been used to solve the problem and to demonstrate the results practically.
