Abstract

This thesis deals with the creation of Automated Electrical Generator Tester. This tester is constructed from the engine which is controlled by inverter, automatic load which is controlled by computer via converter USB/RS-485, generator exciter which is controlled via USB, measuring card NI USB-6211, pulse counter and strain gauge. Tester measure and calculate with these devices current, voltage, power, shaft torque, engine speed, generator efficiency and power factor.Measured and calculated values are saved in the TDMS file. The application is written in the programming language LabVIEW 2013.
