Abstract
My work investigates automatical gauging of microphones characteristics. This extensive subject is explored from the fundaments, dealing with sound as a quantity that the microphone is processing and acoustics as a physical discipline on transmission of sound.
The parameters, features and characteristics of microphones are described and measured later on being the main subject of my work. 3 high quality brand microphones each of different type have been chosen to be compared with their no name Asia-origin counterparts.
The gauging itself is carried out by means of DAQ gauging cards and reference gauging by means of spectral analyzer. Both gauging systems are described in detail and the results are interpreted. Finally the polar diagrams of directional characteristic are set up.
In conclusion both the results of gauging and gauging processes are interpreted and the pairs of microphones are compared.
