Abstract

This Thesis is concerning with refinement of iron aluminide sructure Fe-40Al-Zr-B with chemical composition of 24,6% Al – 0,04% Cr - 0,01% B - 0,18% Zr - 0,01% C - 0,14% Mn - 0,01% Mo - 75,01% Fe. The theoretical portion is given to characteristics of iron aluminide, chemical composition aspect and healing processes aspect. There were analysed the samples with metallography in the experimental portion, that were produced by casting the castings and subsequently produced from their central part. Samples were subject of uniaxial deformation 4 s-1 with plastometer Gleeble. There was achieved a structure refinement with a thermal annealing in time period from 0 up to 240 s with temperatures 900 1000 – 1100 °C, which significantly differs based on the annealing temperatures and time.
