Studie posouzení ukládacích systémů pro trvalé uložení vyhořelého jaderného paliva v podmínkách ČR

Abstract

This document/work focuses on the determination of the design basis and requirements for a deep geological repository disposal system for spent nuclear fuel with impact on the long-term safety of this facility in the Czech Republic. The document clearly and structurally defines the individual aspects of the conceptual design of the repository and the conditions of its implementation for the disposal of spent nuclear fuel from the nuclear power plants Temelín, Dukovany and from 3 potential new sources on the Czech Republic's territory. The document is structured according to the individual engineering barriers of the repository, such as buffer, backfill or waste disposal package, and includes requirements for the geological barrier, i.e. the host rock in which the facility will be situated. All design basis have been defined, from the requirements given by the legislative framework of the Czech Republic, to the safety functions of the barriers, to the characteristics of the individual barriers and their design parameters. The requirements for the properties of the structures on the disposal horizon and the requirements for the host rock affected by the excavation of the works were also included. The document is an initiation version of the design basis and is expected to be updated regularly based on scientific research.
