Abstract
The thesis was created with the aim to introduce to the reader the technologies which
are labelled as smart, and their possibilities. The theoretical part brings information about the
history and development of smart technologies. It also deals with the areas which are utilized
most often, and also systems needed for their operation. The practical part contains
a construction proposal of an apartment building which utilizes intelligent technologies.
