Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a chair occupancy sensor. In the theoretical part, the research was focused on the issue of occupancy detectors in seating furniture and an analysis of the current state of commercial solutions was carried out. The practical part is focused on the process of creating the measurement chain. It first focuses on the creation of a capacitive sensor using a conductive fabric. Then, it focuses on the creation of the actual electronics for the measurement and the creation of the software for wireless communication between the personal computer and the sensors. Finally, functional tests of the evaluation algorithms and sensors are realized.
