Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to create a series of educational games to support the learning of children with special educational needs, in particular for students with learning and combined disabilities. The outcome of this study has been the design of a collection of five games to support interactive teaching at special needs schools. Each of the games develops the childs’s memory, his perception and creativity, it assists in their recognition of basic words through a global method of reading. It also strengthens their ability to perceive relationships and to understand connections between different phenomena. The way this game will be designed will take into account the special needs of children with intellectual disability. The results of each game can be exported and backed up, and from it will be possible to see whether the game has had a positive effect on the child.
