Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the forms of phosphorus in the running water and surface sediment of the river Stonávka and Hradiště stream. The constant interaction between flowing water and sediment is affectting concentration of phosphorus in a water. Whether phosphorus is bound in bottom sediments or released into tap water depends on environmental parameters of water and sediment as well as on the content of Ca, Mg, Fe and Al with which phosphorus forms little soluble phosphates. Sampling was taken at the sampling points which were selected with regard to the location of small domestic wastewater treatment plants. The orthophosphate part of inorganic phosphorus and total phosphorus were determined in stream water. The total organic and inorganic form of phosphorus was evaluated in the sediment. The content of the thesis is an evaluation of the forms of phosphorus and relationships between the forms of phosphorus in a water and in the sediment.
