Abstract

The main topic of the thesis is to evaluate the banding of microstructure of technical materials, particularly steels with ferritic-pearlitic microstructure. The work is mainly focused on comparison of banding evaluation of structures under the two existing standards, and the Czech standard CSN 42 0469 and the American standard ASTM E1268-01 (2007), and using the DB parameter banding by Ryś too. Various methods of quantitative rating of structure are described in theoretical part of thesis. There are introduced linear method, spot method, method of random, directional, oriented and partial oriented of bisectors. There are described methods of comparison and quantitative rating of structure according to image analysis. The practical part includes compare various samples according to image analysis and their evaluation by Czech norm ČSN 42 0469 and American norm ASTM E1268-01(2007).
