Abstract

This thesis deals with comparing available bootloaders and choosing one suitable for use in the learning process of Microchip PIC microcontrollers programming. Bootloader should be modified, so that ease of use is its main strength. Taking into account the sphere of use it should be possible to compile bootloader with one of freely available C compilers. Bootloader should also support or be extended to support microprocessor that is chosen for use in the learning process. Finally, it is imperative to do analysis of possible future support of PIC18 microcontrollers.
