Abstract
The aim of this diploma work is the assessment of the value a commercial bank, which is VÚB bank as the second largest bank in Slovakia. Within the works setting the strategic and financial anylysis for evaluation of financial health is reviewed and subsequently the value of a bank is calculated by a two-phase benefit method with the intention of selling the bank to a possible buyer.
