Abstract
This thesis deals with the shopping behavior of customers in the market for animal feed, focusing on products for dogs and cats, as the two most commonly pets kept in Czech households.
The main objective of this work is to determine the purchasing behavior of customers in the market for animal feed. The partial target is to observe the prices of individual products for pets in many retail stores and to compare their development.
Based on the obtained information to clarify if the price of animal feed is suitable for customers and to decide which retail for buying these products they choose. The data were collected through personal interviews. Respondents were approached in retail. For one year regular collection of prices of animal feed took place and it included also observing of purchasing conditions.
Finally, the thesis describes the results and presented proposals that may be inspirations to producers, as well as retailers and customers buying these animal products.
