Abstract

The objective of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the business strategy of an engineering company. The evaluation of the strategy is done for a specific product. In the theoretical part are defined the basic concepts and approaches to the determination of the business strategy and methods for evaluation of the internal and external environment of the company. In the practical part, the company's characteristics are presented, and selected methods are applied. This includes Porter's analysis of competitive environment, financial analysis, BCG matrix, pricing and SWOT analysis. In the end, suggestions and recommendations are written to improve the current business strategy of the company.
