Abstract

The topic of bachelor thesis is Support of EU Competitiveness Through Europe 2020 Strategy. Thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on definition and concept of competitiveness at the microeconomic, macroeconomic and regional level. The second chapter is devoted to definition of competitiveness concept in the EU, the possibility of measurement and evaluation using competitiveness rankings, and including the basic characteristics of the Lisbon strategy. In the third chapter are justified main reasons for accepting the Strategy Europe 2020, along with the basic characteristic and way of implementing its goals at the European Union and the Czech Republic level.
