Abstract

The Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the enlargement of the European Union, the process of integration, deals with the possibilities, conditions of the enlargement, levels of integration. It defines criteria that the applicants need to meet in order to be admitted, recapitulates accomplished enlargements. It also analyses the impacts of enlargement. At the end of the thesis, the state of prospective member countries on their way is characterized, and the possible development is outlined.
