Abstract

Aim of this bachelor thesis is focused on the method of stabilization of hazardous waste that comes from hazardous waste incineration. The method is based on the solidification of calcium salt and active carbon using cement matrices. Mixing the lime salts (active carbon), cement and water produce a mixture which was allowed to solidify. This step formed a matrix from which the water extracts were prepared. Water extracts were subsequently analyzed. Based on the results of analyzes, it was evaluated most alkaline binder according to the level of fixation of toxic elements. Most concentrations of water extracts not exceed the limit values classes of leaching class II pursuant to valid legislation of the Czech Republic. The results show that the cement is as binder suitable for the stabilization of toxic elements from both point of view, an economic point of view and as also as per availability. These aspects allow cementation apply in the future.
