Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to bring authority´s execution near at the level of municipality and evaluate general conditions of its economy. Introductory part deals with a municipalities legal standing and defines their functions in context of public service operation. It describes an activity of particular municipality authorities and at theoretical level brings information on municipality´s budget. Analytical part shows concrete example of budgetary policy of Corporate Town Ostrava. It elaborates budgetary items in detail at practical level. In this chapter a development of incomes and expenses within 2005 – 2009 is stated and last chapter of a practical part evaluates budgetary policy development.
