Abstract

This thesis deals with the evaluation of the selected long-sleeved T-shirts for firefighters in the aspect of the moisture management. In the theoretical part there is the description of hazards that can be influenced by the effective take-away perspiration from firefighter’s body and the physiological response of the body for higher or lower temperature of the environment. This part of the thesis also deals with clothing comfort of the firefighter, legislative framework related to T-shirts for firefighters and effective moisture management from the firefighter’s body through the T-shirt and firefighter protective clothing. The practical part deals with the selection of the T-shirts, includes the selection of the testing methods used for T-shirts evaluation; their characteristics and performance. The results of the survey are discussed in the conclusion.
