Abstract

The subject of the diploma thesis is the proposal of new use of today's tram depot in Ostrava-Poruba for mixed urban development. The depot area occupies an area of approximately 12 hectares and is located in the fourth district of Poruba, opposite the so-called Black Pearl office building. The thesis contains three variants of the design with an evaluation of their real usability. One of the variants is further elaborated, for this variant there is a detailed solution of the management of the technical and transport infrastructure. The result is a complex urban design of the area, which emphasizes primarily creating a quality public space, preferably with non-motorized transport.
