Abstract
My thesis is focused on adventure tourism and is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter contains the theoretical assumptions for adventure tourism. Then I focus on the possibilities of this form of tourism in Slovakia. Then mention tour operators offering from one of adventure tourism, and their comparative study. Furthermore, it deals specifically selected products from the catalogs of these travel agencies. Choice survey, I wanted to find out what the characteristics of a typical adventure traveler and what motivates him to visit the adventure destination. And the results of research I found that travel agencies offer tours, which is paramount to their quality. The poll showed that the typical participant is a woman hiking adventure with plenty of resources in the age limit of 41 -50 years. Motivation is often a desire for adventure and beauty of nature. In conclusion I found that the Slovak Republic has 32 centers, adventure tourism, where most of them in Bratislava. Travel agencies with this focus, which I have given it a 5 in Bratislava, Trnava and Žilina, Prievidza.
