Abstract

MOJŽIŠKOVÁ, D.: StreetMekka, Bratislava-MČ Dúbravka, SK VŠB-TU Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architecture, 2019 Supervisor: Doc. Ing. arch. Ivan Gürtler, Ph.D., Dr.h.c. The aim of the thesis is to create the so-called StreetMekka, which is primarily a cultural and social platform for street sports, creativity and community convergence. It is mainly aimed at children, adolescents and young people who do not feel at home in the mainstream sport and art. The aim is to keep children and young people from the negative influence of the so-called "street" and to create a partially organized community center where they can spontaneously engage in all sorts of activities from street sports to street art. Streetmekka is a multifunctional sports and cultural center that is designed to resemble street and urban public space as much as possible with its morphology and individual elements. It is a place that seeks to organize so far unorganized and spontaneous sports to provide street subculture with adequate facilities throughout the year.
