Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the comparison of above-ground vegetation and soil seed bank to the mine dump complex Terezie – Ema – Bezruč. In the spring and summer of 2018, 20 soil samples were taken from both dumps and analyzed using a separation and culture method. A total sum of seeds in dump Ema – Terezie was 558 and total sum of seeds in dump Bezruč was 51 seeds, the final sum of seeds in both dumps was 609. The number of seeds was then recalculated to their number within a 1 × 1 m2 square, as individual sam-ples were taken from this area. The resulting number of seeds was determined to be 12,180. Phytoceno-logical imaging was performed and the cover of individual plant species was evaluated according to the Bran-Blanquet scale. The results of phytosociological surveys were subsequently compared with the soil seed bank. 52 plant species were identified in the Ema – Terezie dump, 41 plant species in the Bezruč dump, the total number of plant species was 74. The compliance of the above-ground vegetation with the soil seed bank using the cultivation method was favorable. From 20 samples germinated 5, the number of plant spe-cies which germinated was 4. All results were tabulated for clarity.
