Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on analyzing the effect of temperature on the strength of adhesive
joints. The experiments were conducted on test specimens made of EN AW 5754 aluminum
alloy, bonded with the two-component epoxy adhesive 3M Scotch-Weld 7260 B/A FC. The
theoretical part deals with the characteristics of adhesive bonding, classification of adhesives,
and an overview of methods used for testing mechanical properties. The experimental section
describes the entire procedure of specimen preparation and the execution of tensile tests. The
measured data are presented in the form of tables, graphs, and photographic documentation of
the fractured joints. The final part of the thesis compares the joint strength at different
temperatures and contrasts the results with the values provided by the adhesive manufacturer.
