Abstract

This thesis is concerned with analyzing and improving the quality of the manufacturing process and was compiled in a manufacturing company operating in the automotive industry. The object of this thesis is the production process of a specific product, which was observed in the high incidence of non-conforming products. The thesis is divided into six parts. In the introduction, there is a familiarization with the issues and defining targets. Following is a definition of the theoretical background follows, as well as company characteristics, and solution methodology, which describes the used procedures. The practical part is, due to the character of the problem, divided into two parts. In conclusion, there is a summary of the steps and their results. There are also recommendations for further action.
