Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the bioavailability of selected risk metals at the thermally active dump Heřmanice in the Ostrava-Karviná district. For this thesis were chosen metals - vanadium, chromium, nickel, copper, arsenic, cadmium and lead. Metals were determined from soil samples and subjected to BCR extraction analysis. In the diploma thesis, the content of individual metals in the soil and thus their bioavailability was determined. The properties of the soil that affect the bioavailability and mobility of metals, namely the pH value (soil acidity) together with its reducing, oxidizing and sorption properties, were investigated.
