Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the Office for the Protection of Competition, public procurement and their mutual relation. Its objective is a description and processing of a basic information on the Office for the Protection of Competition, on public procurement and a characterization of the concrete role of the Office for the Protection of Competition in the area of public procurement. The first chapter of the thesis includes basic characteristics (a legal adjustment, a history, an organization diagram, areas of scope...) and the concrete role of the Office for the Protection of Competition in the area of public procurement. This chapter contains practice examples too, mainly decisions of the Office for the Protection of Competition. The second chapter in engaged in a basic information, basic notions and methods for classification of public procurement. The third chapter concerns about problems of public procurement in practice, mainly about legislative problems and problems with new trends of public procurement.
