Role ENTSO-E a dalších asociací v elektroenergetice budoucnosti

Abstract

This thesis deals with the ENTSO-E association and its role in the electricity industry, especially with regard to the current EU climate targets, which will mostly affect conventional thermal power plants. Shutting down these powerful sources, which provide a significant degree of inertia to the system, will destabilise the grid as their output is replaced by renewable energy sources. ENTSO-E therefore coordinates the cooperation of transmission system operators in planning the operation and development of the system to ensure a reliable supply of electricity to all customers in the future. A list of technical means suitable for dealing with this emerging situation is mentioned in the work. The thesis includes the elaboration of a model example showing the consequence of changes in the energy mix. The example models a 2021 incident, where due to a fault in a Polish substation 10 units of a local power plant failed, the same situation is then evaluated for the state of the electricity system expected in 2030.
