Zaměstnanost Čechů v institucích EU

Abstract

The institutions of the European Union employ more than 50,000 people from all EU Member States. According to the principle of geographical balance, a number of staff must work in the EU institutions which does not favor or, on the contrary, do not discriminate against any of the Member States. The area code indicator is used to monitor this representation. The Czech Republic has long failed to meet the set goal of employee representation across the European Union institutions. In this diploma thesis, possible causes are characterized. The hypothesis is the insufficient language skills of Czechs and their attitude towards the European Union
