Identifikace a sledování uživatelů v prostředí internetu, otisky webových prohlížečů a cross-browser fingerprints

Abstract

I have written my diploma thesis on Identification and Tracking of Users in the Internet Environment, Browser Fingerprints and Cross-Browser Fingerprints. First, I describe the methods of tracking a user in an Internet environment. In the next section I list a selected web browsers with emphasis on the Mozilla Firefox web browser. I will focus on existing add-ons to increase user control of the content and privacy. In the next section, I describe the implementation of my custom add-on to Mozilla Firefox. I will test selected browsers and certain add-ons and evaluate the conclusion of testing with respect to user comfort and I will evaluate my add-on in relation to limitation of monitoring user's behaviour. The last section is devoted to optimal configuration design, where I will present valid recommendations for limiting the creation of an identifiable fingerprint.
