Abstract
The bachelor's thesis deals with the verification and comparison of sensors used for glucose sensing, especially for continuous glucose sensing. In the theoretical part, research on the principles of glucose measurement was first processed. Subsequently, the theoretical part focused on biosensors based on the electrochemical principle, which are used in the work. Electrochemical methods such as chronoamperometry and cyclic voltammetry, commonly applied in measurements with biosensors, were then introduced. The cyclic voltammetry technique was used to test the functionality of the sensors. Experimental measurements of potentials on electrodes of different materials were continued to determine the theoretical safe range of sensor potentials. An HBSS solution was prepared and adjusted with glucose concentrations to cover all possible conditions. Chronoamperometry was used to carry out the experiment of measuring glucose concentrations, first by the drop method for each concentration separately, and then in the flow through the bloodstream model. The measured currents were converted to glucose concentrations using a calibration curve equation. All measured data were statistically processed, and the sensors were evaluated according to the results.
