Abstract

The economic history of former Czechoslovak Republic is very rich. The first main landmark was Rašín’s currency reform 1919. Czechoslovakia was formed at the ruins of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after the World War One at the end of 1918. The first step to establish the republic was economic stability. Rašín’s financial plan included several steps and the first one was currency separation in March 1919. The deflation process was next step, which had got many supporters but also a lot of opponents. The first part of bachelor thesis is dedicated to analysis and progress of currency reform in Czechoslovakian premier years. Bachelor thesis is also concerned of importance of currency reform to Czechoslovak economy until 1926. The media scene is the topic of second part of bachelor thesis. For comparison there were chosen different periodicals. The last part of bachelor thesis is dedicated to journalistic arrangement which is focus on non-professionals.
