Abstract
The subject of the thesis "Power factor correction of the excavator KU800/20" is to find a potentiality and bring a solution for power factor correction on this machine.
The first part describes the specifics of strip mine´s network and deals with the theoretical analysis of compensation and the reasons why compensate.
The second practical part comment the measurements, dealing with its own proposed solution for compensation and its own technical-economical evaluation.
