Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a test unit for an electronic side door lock of a vehicle. The aim of the thesis is to design an optimal solution for the test device based on the requirements of the cooperating company, BRANO a.s. and to verify its functionality. The thesis includes an analysis of the functional requirements of the test unit, the design of a hardware solution and the construction of a functional prototype. Furthermore, control firmware was developed with the implementation of required functions and a set of test scenarios, which verify the behaviour of the unit under both standard operation and fault conditions.
