Vliv cestovního ruchu na produkci odpadu v obcích Karlova Studánka a Ludvíkov

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of tourism on the production of municipal and municipal-like waste in the municipalities of Karlova Studánka and Ludvíkov. The theoretical part defines tourism, its environmental externalities and links to the waste management system. Emphasis is placed in particular on seasonality, the difference between resident and visitor population burden, the issue of separate concentration of usable components and the specifics of waste generated in accommodation, spa and catering services. The practical part compares available data on waste production in 2018–2024 and evaluates their informative capacity in relation to the tourist function of both municipalities. The result is proposals for methodological indicators and measures for more accurate monitoring, prevention and management of waste burden in small municipalities exposed to tourism.
