Abstract
Doctoral thesis is devoted to the study of factors that have influence on the vegetation characteristic in flooded mine subsidence. Mainly is focused on hydrochemical water parameters. Waters in flooded mine subsidences because of their specific genesis and influence by anthropogenic activity have different character in comparison to normal fresh waters. These biotops are frequently characterised by high content of dissolved substances, mainly chlorides and sulphates and can by influenced by process of eutrophication. Increased salinity and nutrient concentration can have a significant impact mainly on aquatic vegetation which is very sensitive to changes in the characteristic of the aquatic environment. Therefore, macrophytes are one of the key elements in assessing the ecological state of aquatic ecosystems. In shallow tanks, aquatic vegetation has not only indicate properties but can also significantly affect water quality thus contributing to improve its ecological state. Therefore, the aim of research was to assess the current ecological state of selected flooded mine subsidence, determining the optimal use of vegetation in hydric reclamation in this kind of ecosystems. For the study nine representative flooded mine subsidences were chosen in Karvina territory.
Through the analysis of the vegetation character and environmental variables were especially investigated correlation between factors influencing variability of aquatic macrophytes, importance of observed hydrochemical parameters and biological elements on the aquatic environment quality. It was found that both the salinity and the share of aquatic vegetation are important factors influencing character of the aquatic environment in the researched locations. On the conclusions of this work there were prepared recommendations for hydric reclamation of flooded mine subsidence ecosystems.
