Abstract

This Thesis focuses on the position of Australia in international economic integration. It analyzes in particular the signed bilateral agreements, the membership in the regional and global economic integration and the partnership and the business relationship with the European Union. The work is divided into three main chapters. The first major chapter of Thesis “Economics – Political Profile of Australia” characterizes the position of Australia in the global economy. The second main chapter “Australian Involvement in International Cooperation and Economic Integration” is an analysis of Australian bilateral relations and the benefits of the membership in the international organizations and groupings, especially the results in recent years are quantified. The Australian external relations with the countries of the European Union are analyzed in the last main chapter. The aim of this Thesis is to evaluate the position of Australia in international economic integration and to identify its business relationships.
