Abstract

Supervisor of the bachelor thesis Ing. Petr Bitala, Ph.D. This thesis deals with the recognition of license plates of vehicles by using camera systems focusing on requirements for their design. This thesis is divided to two parts. The first part describes the camera systems and their technical parameters, laws and standards, the solutions of identification of vehicles and registration marks in the Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis is focused on the requirements for the installation of CCTV in order to identify vehicles, and on the design of suitable alternatives.
