Abstract
The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the description of protection principles, their composition, and especially digital protection, with particular emphasis on overcurrent protection. A detailed description of the Siprotec 7SJ8032 overcurrent protection is provided, including its functions and configuration process. In the practical part, this protection is implemented in a laboratory physical model, where it was configured using the DIGSI 4 software. During the test measurements, the functionality of directional earth fault protection, non-directional overcurrent protection, and overvoltage protection was tested. The goal was to verify the correct configuration of the protection and its response to simulated fault conditions, and the result was the creation of a test protocol.
