Abstract
This bachelor thesis is focused on laboratory verification of hydrothermal carbonization method for sewage sludge treatment, on quantity and quality of solid and gaseous phase, on comparison of differences between individual sludges, which were taken at three specific wastewater treatment plants, on design of this method, on construction of equipment for the purpose of this treatment and for the final assessment of the possibility of using this method for treatment of sewage sludge.
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of sewage sludge, valid foreign and Czech legislation, connected with the description and handling of sewage sludge, as well as with the current treatment of sewage sludge and introduces the reader to the hydrothermal carbonization method.
In this work, an experiment was conducted with sewage sludges collected in three selected wastewater treatment plants. Specifically at the treatment plants in the village Hať and in the towns Opava and Ostrava. The work in experimental part describes the pre-treatment of sewage sludge and the actual application of this method to selected waste. This part also includes the evaluation of the quality and quantity of the collected phases, which are summarized by the material balance, graphs and analytical analyzes.
