Abstract
This thesis was focused on evaluation of the performance management system and employee appraisal in a selected organization. The aim of the work was to analyze the functioning of established procedures for employee evaluation and performance management within the company, identify any deficiencies in the system, and propose suitable solutions to improve the current state. Restaurants operated by one of the company's franchisees in the Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions were examined. Both regular employees and management were involved in the research. The theoretical part of the thesis was oriented towards the methodologies of processing, data collection methods, and basic theoretical foundations in the field of performance management and employee evaluation. The practical part provided basic characteristics of the company and outlined its performance management and employee appraisal system. Questionnaires, interviews, and SWOT analysis were used for data collection and analysis necessary for the thesis. Based on these data, triangulation was performed, research results were interpreted, and suggestions and recommendations for improving the current state of the system in the organization were then formulated.
