Abstract

This thesis deals with the issue of electromagnetic field in the near field zone of the antenna. The impact of this field on human, or other living organisms, has become the subject of scientists’ interests, largely due to the large development of wireless telecommunication technologies. The studied source of electromagnetic waves in this work is an electrically small loop antenna. The aim of the thesis is to simulate and subsequently measure the electromagnetic field in the near zone of the antenna and to determine the safe distances from the antenna according to Government Regulation No. 291/2015, Determining these distances will serve as an aid to the antenna user in order not to endanger their health.
