Abstract

The thesis deals with categories of workability, which are defined by two standards. The standard ČSN 73 3050, which was replaced by the standard ČSN 73 6133. The old standard defines seven categories of workability and the new one defines three categories. The criteria determining the classification of soil in a given class of workability will be explained. Efforts will be also to make a visualization of certain soil properties. The work deals with the types of mechanization used to work with soil of different classes of workability. Finally the thesis deals with case studies that apply acquired knowledge, experience or theory to some concrete example or examples in practice - applying theory to practice.
