Abstract

Traffic safety analysis at the Moravská – Závodní intersection in the city of Ostrava. This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the Moravská – Závodní intersection in the city of Ostrava. The introductory part describes the location of the selected intersection. The work includes the implementation and evaluation of a traffic survey, on the basis of which all the necessary traffic engineering characteristics were determined and a traffic forecast for the upcoming year was determined. The current state is assessed in terms of capacity for current and future traffic intensity. For both traffic intensity states, simulation traffic models are created in the PTV VISSIM program. Based on the analysis of the structural and technical condition, proposals for modifications to the intersection are developed. All proposals include drawing documentation according to the scope of modifications. The proposed variants are assessed in terms of visibility and passability. All proposals are capacity assessed for prospective traffic intensities and simulation traffic models are created in the PTV VISSIM program.
