Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on harvesting energy from solar radiation using technologies integrated into pavements and using underground thermal energy storages (UTES) for save thermal energy. First part describes the characteristics of solar radiation and approaches the issue of UTES. It is focussed on their division according to the type of a construction, parametres and provides information of realized UTES in Europe. The second part is focused on specific types of technologies for energy harvesting from solar radiation. Also summarizes previous research. Describes working principles of energy harvesting and presents data from projects in practice.
